6 Months

I'm really terrible at this. Anyway, what a fun month we've had. Michael is growing so much and is living every second of it. He's so happy these days which makes going to work every day not quite as miserable. We've been so fortunate to have my mother in law here with us. She's been keeping Michael all month.
He went for his 6 month well child the middle of April. He weighed 18.8lbs, 26.2 in long, and head circumference of 44cm. He had held off on trying any more baby goods until this visit. They just didn't seem to agree with his tummy when we first tried them. Since then, he's had just about everything, and has loved it all! Seriously, he has eaten everything he's been offered. His favorite so far are avocados!
He starts full-time daycare on Monday. I don't know why I'm so stressed about it, but I really am. I even called the daycare this week to make sure someone would be able to feed him when I dropped him off in the morning. I have a really good "gut instinct" about the facility, but am still just a nervous wreck. He's sitting up really good now and can reach for things he wants. He also rolls everywhere. I know he'll be fine, but that doesn't make it any easier!
He did go to TodayCare one day in April. It's a backup daycare for associates of Methodist Healthcare. He did great! He was only there about 5 hours, but did t have any problems. Not to mention, he hasn't been sick at all..we are so grateful for this. Not even a runny nose! I know those days are about to come to an end.

We've been spending lots of time outside in the evenings. The kid loves to be outside. He can be throwing the biggest fit, and when you walk him outside, he immediately calms. It's wonderful

We've also been to the zoo several times since its warmed up. I don't know how much he cares about the animals, but I love it!

He had his first restaurant high chair experience:

Nic Cagle gave him this hilarious outfit. I think my friend Leah is embarrassed that I dress him In it, but I think it's great. And....it's a very accurate description!

We had our first family picnic. We go to the park a lot. Michael loves watching big kids run around and play.

We celebrated Earth Day at a festival out at Shelby Farms.

We played in some boxes:

He really REALLY loves his baths:

And a sleeveless tank romper. This reminds me of these tops my brothers used to have. Apparently my grandmother took the boys to have their photos made at Olan Mills. They're dressed in matching sleeveless tanks. It's hilarious--I wish I could get a hold of it!

So, he's almost 7 months. I'm trying...
