10 Month Update

Michael is growing like a weed! He's been sickly this month, but it hasn't put a damper on his spirit! He had an awful diaper rash for about a week. He had a high fever that drove us to the Urgent Care. We went diaper-less A LOT that week. One night, he peed on the floor 4 times and pooped once--i then decided commando time was over. I unfortunately didn't get any pics of this fun time. He is so full of life and I'm so thankful for that. I say it all the time, but during those first 3 months with him, I was questioning ever doing this again!

My how things have changed!

He weighs 23lbs
Eats everything. We're trying really hard to give him what were eating with hopes
of avoiding the whole "Kid Menu" thing for the next 10 years. I don't know why I'm
obsessing about this. I just want him to eat real, adult food. Not bland, chicken
tenders.
Pulls up easily and will release for about 10-15 seconds before falling. I know we're
not far from walking!
Loves to "tackle" pillows. Especially after bath time.
Hates having his diaper changed.
Is learning to throw and has starting waving Bye-Bye.
Drinks juice/water out of a sippy cup.
Wears earplugs for his bath and all water activities. This is a real pain btw. He hates
them and I'm awful at inserting them. He still pulls at his ears all of the time. We go
back to ENT Tuesday for a check up.
Loves to have a "lovie" at bedtime. He has a Pooh and a monkey.

We celebrated Nonna's birthday this past weekend. I didn't get a single pic of the birthday girl, but we did get this sweet one if Michael and Noah.
Noah is 8 weeks old.

This was Michael's first Mac N Cheese. He loved it, of course. I know this is "kid menu" food, but I was tired and work was a drag. Oops.

While at my parents this wknd, Michael found Curtis' bone. And instead of snatching it away, I snapped a pic :)

Playing in boxes.

Wes and Noah at the dove field. I love this pic.

Helping me clean.

Eating. Always.

Sweet 9 Months

This is such a fun stage! Michael is so sweet and learning new things everyday. He's finally learned to crawl and is on the move constantly. We're baby proofing in stages--which may not be the best way to do things. He hasn't gotten into much but does try and pull up on the floor lamp quite often.
At 9 months:
Weighs 22.10lbs (75%). It's unbelievable that there's another 25% of kids out there
chunkier than him.
Is only 35% for height. I've misplaced his info but I remember that percentage.
Short and chunky love
Eats anything given to him. He's had hummus, edamame, ravioli, pizza, grapes,
meatloaf, okra, cheese, yogurt. He seriously hasn't turned down anything. The kid
loves to eat.
Is taking 24oz of formula daily.
Loves bath time.
Loves Bella and Rocky. He just lets them lick all over him. They clean his hands after
he eats and the food off the floor. Sounds awful, but what are we going to do about it? might as well embrace it? I kinda feel sorry for people without inside dogs.
They actually have to clean up food after their children :)
Can pull to stand and is starting to do some transfers. Can cruise just a little bit.
We've been having a lot of trouble out of his ears. He's tried 4 different antibiotics
and personally, I don't think they've ever cleared up. I spoke with an ENT at
Le Bonheur 2wks ago and she encouraged me to go ahead and have him
evaluated for tubes.
We met Dr. Thompson last Tuesday and had tubes placed today. Michael did really
well and the actual procedure took 6 minutes. He'll wear ear plugs for every bath
and if he goes swimming. And get drops for 5 days. That's it. Hopefully, this
will solve all of his problems.
We celebrated Ali Clare's first birthday last weekend in Jackson at her house. The
babies had a lot of fun playing together, and sweet baby Noah came too.

William held Noah and they were so sweet together. Noah just stared at him and
William was really calm and gentle with him.
William, Michael, and I stayed at Nonna and Grandaddy's house Saturday night.
William was reading to Michael. So sweet.

Playing in our pool.

Eating grass.

Waiting for surgery. .

Getting to know the dogs

We went down to Oxford a couple of weeks ago for the day. Went to Ajax for lunch.
Michael had Mac n cheese, meatloaf, and okra

9 Months:

It's been 1.5hr since his surgery, and you would never know he had anything done. Guess I could've gone to work after all.....nah-don't think so ;)
